Sophomore Montana Lewis and Arielle Saunders each had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Junior forward Kristen Celsor had a game-high 12 rebounds.

ASU routs Ouachita Baptist

Three Arkansas State players scored more than 10 points each, led by forward Jane Morrill’s game-high 15 points, in an 86-46 victory over Ouachita Baptist in an exhibition game Monday at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro.

Senior guard Ashley Olvera scored 12 points and freshman forward Jalen O’Bannon came off the bench to add 11.

The Red Wolves shot 47 percent from the field, and limited the Tigers to 28 percent shooting. Morrill grabbed eight rebounds, and ASU outrebounded OBU 46-42.

“I hope that can be kind of a sign of who we are defensively,” ASU Coach Brian Boyer said. “Our pressure was really good and you would like to think that it is going to help wear on people, and I thought it did.”
