THE SKINNY: It was all about fiber. It’s now all about protein.

Fiber One is covering all its bases with new Fiber One Protein bars.

Cloaked with a chocolate coating, the chewy snack bars are available in at least two flavors we spotted at the North Little Rock Target store: Caramel Nut and Coconut Almond.

The appetizing bars contain a significant amount of fiber (5 grams) and protein (6 to 7 grams).

They, like all other Fiber One bars, also contain chicory root extract. You can Google the unappetizing side effects for yourself.
