Arkansas Democrat-Gazette ENGAGEMENTS publishes engagement — The announcements without photographs. least eight The weeks announcement before the wedding must be and submitted two weeks at before you wish it to be in the paper. WEDDINGS — Wedding announcements, with or without photographs, must be submitted at least 10 days before the wedding. The announcement will be published the first Sunday after the wedding on a space-available basis.
Engagement and wedding announcements are printed on Sundays only. A wedding announcement submitted two weeks after the wedding will not be published. FEATURED WEDDINGS — If you have family in Pulaski County and wish to be considered for a High Profile feature story, a completed engagement form must be submitted at least eight weeks before the wedding. ANNIVERSARIES — We prefer that information for 50th and later anniversary announcements be submitted on a form. Information should be submitted at least two weeks before the desired publication date. FEES — There is no charge for printing a wedding, engagement or anniversary announcement with a photograph in the Democrat-Gazette. The publishing of the announcement is subject to the material meeting the deadlines as well as available space and the judgment of the Democrat-Gazette. FORMS — Information for an engagement, wedding or anniversary announcement should be submitted on a form that will be mailed or faxed if you call the bridal editor at (501) 378-3496 or write to P.O. arkansasonline.com/tools/bridalannounce PHOTOGRAPHS — A black-and-white glossy photo of professional quality, at least 5 inches by 7 inches, is preferred. A glossy color photo may be accepted, but reproduction quality cannot be guaranteed. Soft-focus or self-developing pictures are not accepted. The paper prefers that only the bride be in the photograph. The photo should be a vertical waist-up shot or a close-up. A full-length photo will not be accepted. Please write the bride’s married and maiden names and address on the back of the photograph. Bridal photographs must be accompanied by a
Democrat-Gazette licensing agreement signed by
the photographer.
To have a photo returned, include a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Photos may be picked up at the information desk. Photos will be kept on file 90 days.
Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The department is closed Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
