WEDDINGS MARY HELEN SICK ANDREW MICHAEL BRIGGLER
Mary Helen Sick and Andrew Michael Briggler were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church. Officiating were the Rev. Erik Pohlmeier and the Rev. Greg Hart, cousin of the groom and pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tontitown.
Parents of the bride are Barbara and James Sick, 4320 Bear Tree Drive. Her grandparents are Helen and the late Robert Steckel of Jerseyville, Ill., and the late Rosemary and Herman Sick of Little Rock.
Donna and Kevin Briggler of St. Vincent are the parents of the groom. His grandparents are Clara and Fred Briggler of Morrilton and Clara and the late Gerald Gangluff, also of St. Vincent.
The church entrance was decorated with grapevine, tulle and coral ribbon. Pews were marked with clusters of baby’s breath. Music was by organist Tim Allen and vocalist Matthew Lyon.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory gown of duchess satin and tulle. The fitted ruched bodice had a sweetheart neckline and deep V-back. She carried a gathered clutch of coral roses, peach stock, white lisianthus and hydrangeas. Lauren Williams of North Little Rock was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lauren Briggler and Amanda Briggler, sisters of the groom, and Courtney Sick, Lisa Sick and Sarah Latham, all of Little Rock. Junior bridesmaid was Ginny Ziegler of Fort Smith.
They wore strapless gowns of navy chiffon with sweetheart necklines and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Flower girl and ring bearer were Tatum Paladino of Morrilton, cousin of the groom, and Aaron Puch of St. John, Ind., nephew of the bride.
Clayton Briggler of St. Vincent was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Gangluff of St. Vincent, cousin of the groom; Tony Sick and Jeffrey Sick, brothers of the bride, and Jimmie DuVall, all of Little Rock; and Aaron Miller of Morrilton, cousin of the groom. Junior groomsmen were Ben Puch of St. John, nephew and godchild of the bride, and Luke Ziegler of Fort Smith. Guests were seated by Bradley Sick of Fayetteville, brother of bride, and Spencer LunBeck of Little Rock.
A reception at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Ballroom followed the ceremony. The buffet table held a tall glass cylinder vase filled with curly willow and coral roses and lime-green flowers. Guest tables, covered with ivory linens and federal blue and apple green runners, held arrangements of coral roses, stock, gerbera daisies, hydrangeas and hypericum berries.
The bride graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders. She is scheduled to finish her doctorate in audiology in May at the University of Memphis. She is completing an externship at Arkansas Otolaryngology Center in Little Rock.
The groom, also a UA graduate, has a bachelor’s degree in biology. He is a third-year medical student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
The couple will reside in Little Rock and will take a wedding trip later.
