An Enchanting Evening in Roland was the setting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, for the marriage of Allison Lane Stephens and Alexander Seth Darby. Phil Stowers officiated.

Parents of the bride are Pamela and Michael Stephens of North Little Rock. Her grandparen­ts are Carolyn Sue McCormick and the late E.B. Kline, both of North Little Rock, and the late Cleda and Guy Stephens of Newport.

Randa and Tony Darby of North Little Rock are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Randall White and the late Jackie White, both of Sherwood, the late Jack Darby of Seattle and the late Elizabeth Vielman of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

Black urns held arrangemen­ts of white oriental lilies, bells of Ireland, white spider chrysanthe­mums, hanging amaranthus, and black branches. Music was by vocalist Brittany Campbell.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a strapless ivory mermaid gown of corded lace embellishe­d with Swarovski crystals and pearl accents. She carried a bouquet of white oriental lilies, white roses, seeded eucalyptus, lily grass and white wax flowers.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were Kayla Derrick of Maumelle and Natasha Harrison of Sherwood. Bridesmaid­s were Rachael Yeager, Rebecca McWilliams and Jodi Hunt, all of Little Rock. They wore short moss green taffeta dresses and carried bouquets of white hydrangeas, white roses and seeded eucalyptus.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Aubrey Harrison of Sherwood and Connor Gough of Maumelle, nephew of the groom.

Best man was Patrick Looney of North Little Rock. Groomsmen were Rustin Ray of Little Rock; and Avery Adkins, Clay Short and Kyle Waring, all of Sherwood.

A reception, also at An Enchanting Evening, followed the ceremony. Guest tables held a mix of black lanterns, moss, vases filled with black twigs, green apples and silver framed photos of the bride and groom.

The bride is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. She was named to the dean’s and chancellor’s lists and received the Outstandin­g Liberal Arts Graduating Senior Award. She graduated with high honors from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She is a dental hygienist and a dance instructor at Irby’s School of Dance.

The groom graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautic­al University in Daytona Beach, Fla., with a bachelor’s degree in profession­al aeronautic­s. He is also a graduate of the Air Force Officer Training School and Air Force Pilot Training at Enid Air Force Base in Enid, Okla. He is a C-130 pilot at the Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonvil­le.

After a wedding trip to Clearwater Beach, Fla., the couple will make their home in Sherwood.
