2nd man arrested in Sept. 3 shooting

-

A second North Little Rock man was arrested Friday in connection with a shooting in southwest Little Rock earlier this month.

Terry Crook, 25, was arrested and charged with first-degree battery. He was being held at the Pulaski County jail Saturday in lieu of a $25,000 bond.

About 5:10 a.m. Sept. 3, a motorist passing by 65th and Arch streets heard a cry and found a man with several gunshot wounds lying in the road, Little Rock police said.

Deon Lindsey, 41, was on the west side of the train tracks and “bleeding heavily” from a head wound, police said.

Lindsey told the motorist that he’d been shot and he knew who shot him, but he couldn’t give police a statement because of his injuries, according to a police report.

He was taken to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, where he was initially in critical condition with gunshot wounds to his right shoulder, left arm and right thigh, the report states.

Lindsey later identified the gunmen for officers, according to an arrest report.

Earlier Friday, Clenton Forrister III, 29, of North Little Rock was arrested on a first-degree battery charge in the shooting.

He admitted his involvement and was taken to the county jail, where he remained Saturday in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
