Pet of the week

Harvey is our pet of the week. He is a sweet, loving little guy that was found at the shelter a week ago. He was very shy at first but has adjusted well. Harvey appears to be a shepherd mix, about 4 months old and has a very loving look in his eyes. He loves toys and is working really hard on learning to fetch. He already knows that he may be a little big to be a lap dog, so he would just like to lay his head on your lap when playtime is over. very easy to take for a walk, and he has great manners on a leash. He also loves to spend time playing outside or relaxing in the sun. He would make a great walking or running buddy for someone.

Mackenzie is a 1-year-old Chihuahua and would be great for a family that is looking for a great lap dog! Her compact size allows her to cuddle up with anyone. She is a beautiful girl and likes to get out for little walks with the shelter’s volunteers. Mackenzie would be perfect for a Chihuahua lover — she really is a special find.

Kanga is a big guy with a big heart. He likes to get his picture taken and likes to show off the tricks he knows. He also has great leash manners and knows the commands “sit,” “down” and “roll over.” Kanga is a nice guy who would love to go hiking and play at the park. He is gentle for his size and is already a favorite with the volunteers at the shelter.

Featured Felines

Jethro is a young cat, less than a year old, with soft, plush, gray and white fur. He loves to play with people and other cats and is great with both children and adults.

Kasey and Koko are black, shorthair 4-month-old brothers. They love to run and play and put a smile on the face of everyone who meets them.

Victoria is a beautiful 2-year-old Himalayan/snowshoe mix with a gentle personality to match. Her ice-blue eyes are just stunning.

Gracie is a pretty black-and-white tuxedo kitty. This affectionate, laidback girl is about 10 years old. Her ideal home would be with someone who wants a lap kitty and has plenty of sunny spots to nap.

Twix is another black-and-white tuxedo with crazy whiskers that point every which way. He’s only a year old but is a gentle soul who loves being petted, brushed and held. He’s looking for a family to love.
