ALLISON CAROL CHOATE GREGGORY SIMPSON II

The Historic Rogers House was the setting at 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, for the marriage of Allison Carol Choate and Greggory Simpson II. The Rev. Kevin Conger of Hope Lutheran Church in Jacksonvil­le, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Carolyn and Dr. Robert Choate of North Little Rock. Her grandparen­ts are Rose and the late Charles R. Horton and the late Edith and Cmdr. Robert Choate, all of Hot Springs.

Debby and Jim Davis, 3718 Marsh Road, are the parents of the groom. His grandparen­ts are the late Hattie and Dennis Davis of Banks, and the late Glendean and Chet Attwood of Florida.

Vows were exchanged in front of the massive white pillars of the house. Antique stands held round baskets of purple haze roses, white roses and pink roses, white alstromeri­a, pink Asiatic lilies, lemon leaf, Italian ruscus and variegated pittosporu­m.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white taffeta A-line wedding gown. The pleated sweetheart bodice had a beaded belt at the waist and the pleated skirt extended to a chapel-length train. She carried roses, white miniature calla lilies, baby’s breath, Italian ruscus and lemon leaf.

Matron of honor was Andrea Benson of Virginia Beach, Va., sister of the bride. Bridesmaid­s were Emily Choate of Chicago, sister of the bride; Elizabeth Choate of Sherwood, daughter of the bride; and Jessica Simpson of Little Rock, sister of the groom.

They wore knee-length sheaths of pink chiffon with draped V-necklines and ruching at the waist. They carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet.

Scotty Parker of Alexander was best man. Groomsmen were Brad Foster of Conway, Scott Benson of Virginia Beach and Clark Johnson of Bauxite.

A reception at the house followed the ceremony. Tables were covered in charcoal gray linen and decorated with pink and white wedding flowers, tea lights and heart-shaped mirrors. Assisting were Kelly Cates and Erin Moore.

The bride graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s nursing program. She is a registered nurse at Baptist Health.

The groom attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and is an audio/visual technician for GS AudioVisua­l.

After a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple will reside in Sherwood.
