Boy killed by dogs in White County

A boy visiting a White County home died Friday after a dog attack, according to the White County sheriff’s office.

White County officials were called shortly before 3:30 p.m. to a home on Piker Road in the Bradford area where the boy had been attacked by dogs, according to a news release. The boy was taken to White County Medical Center in Searcy and later died, the release states.

Authorities did not release the boy’s identity late Friday.

The boy and his mother were visiting the home when the boy got outside, deputies said. They said they found three unleashed dogs. The dogs’ owner was home at the time, the release states.

Deputies are investigating the attack and will hold the dogs, the release states.
