MARANA, Ariz. — Donald Eugene Stokes, 91, of Marana, Ariz., died Wednesday. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Fellowship Bible Church in Star City, Ark., with Bro. Bud Calhoun officiatin­g. ––––– ––––– DODGE CITY, Kan. — Joe Allen Burleson Sr., 75, died Nov. 6, 2013, at his home in Dodge City. He was born on Sept. 7, 1938, at Little Rock, Ark., the son of Claude Edward and Essie (Sallis) Burleson. He married Jo Ann Weaver on Feb. 21, 1958, in Indianola, Miss., she survives. Mr. Burleson worked as a sheet metal tech for Ray Omo Inc. for 35 years before retiring in 2006. In his spare time, he enjoyed all sports and especially loved Friday night patio time with his family. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Dodge City.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Burleson of the home; three daughters, Kathy Hall and husband Artie of Ardmore, Okla., Lori Sprenkle and husband David of Dodge City, Kan., Tina Culver and husband Dave of Beaumont, Texas; two sons, Joe Burleson Jr. of Wichita, Kan., Ricky Burleson and wife Cathy of Picayune, Miss.; two sisters, Louise Snead of Hensley, Ark., Lena Mae Scott of Hensley, Ark., and one brother, David Burleson of California. He is also survived by 11 grandchild­ren and five great-grandchild­ren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

Graveside service on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Brownsvill­e Cemetery in Lonoke, Ark. Visitation will be at North Little Rock Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, from 1 to 4 p.m. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.SmithFamil­yCares.com.
