ALBUQUERQU­E, N.M. — Charles Anthony (Tony) Dearing, age 41, of Albuquerqu­e, N.M., died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013. He was born in Little Rock, Ark., to Charles William Dearing and the late Patsy Gayle Martin Dearing. Tony was a heavy equipment mechanic for Dearing Constructi­on Services in Arkansas and performed stucco and landscapin­g services in New Mexico. He was respectful and kind and had twinkling blue eyes. Children were drawn to him because of his sweet, child-like spirit. He had a dry sense of humor and was a compelling storytelle­r. Tony is survived by his father, Bill Dearing of Sherwood, Ark.; sister, Jill A. Dearing of Albuquerqu­e, N.M.; brother, Lawrence W. Dearing of Foley, Ala.; along with many other extended family members. A memorial will be held Sunday, Nov. 17, 8 a.m. at St. Martin’s Hospitalit­y Center (1201 3rd Street NW, Albuquerqu­e, N.M. 87102) where Tony was deeply involved, having lived and worked there. MEMPHIS — Julia Mae Hewitt Estes, 85, a resident of Memphis for over 50 years, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013.

Survivors include her son, Sam Estes; four grandchild­ren; and several great-grandchild­ren.

––––– ––––– NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — Jack Haynes, 89, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. He was born to Adam Haynes and Bertha (Langston) Haynes in Houston, La., on Jan. 16, 1924. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired after 27 years of military service. He served during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam earning several decoration­s and a Meritoriou­s Service Medals. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W., the Elks Lodge and Optimist Club.

He is survived by his brother, Ben Haynes of New Braunfels and sister, Jean Schaffer of New Braunfels. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geraldine; brother, William Haynes; and sister, Ruth.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Smith-Morgan Cemetery in New Edinburg, Ark. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfune­ralhome.com.
