WEDDINGS VIRGINIA MITCHELL MCCRAY JOHN CLINTON ROGER MUSSELMAN
Virginia Mitchell McCray and John Clinton Roger Musselman exchanged marriage vows at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church. The Rev. Robert Cook, along with the Rev. Brian Campbell of Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Norfolk, Va., officiated.
Parents of the bride are Jo and Kevin Dale McCray, 348 Valley Club Circle. Her grandparents are Sharon and H.A. Ted Bailey Jr. of Little Rock, the late Virginia Mitchell Bailey, Gloria and Samuel Spearman of Hot Springs Village and the late Jack Ray McCray.
The groom is the son of Elizabeth and Lytton Musselman of Norfolk and the grandson of the late Esther and George Louys of St. Louis and the late Esther and Hubert Musselman of Beloit, Wis.
Nuptial music was by guitarist and vocalist Michael Brymer, pianist Annabel Stavey and cellist Julia Casterline.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory gown of silk-taffeta and English net embellished with Alencon lace. The full ball gown skirt extended to a cathedral train with a wide hem of beaded Alencon lace. She carried a bouquet of ivory and white roses, peonies and gardenias accented with evergreens and pine cones.
Serving as maid of honor was Ellianna McCray of Little Rock, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Melissa McCray, Elizabeth McCray and Emily McCray, all of Little Rock and sisters of the bride; Mary Catherine Paulus of Palo Alto, Calif., and Laura Sanders of London, cousins of the bride; Jane French of San Diego; and Tara Waite of Chicago. They wore navy chiffon one-shoulder gowns and carried nosegays of roses, peonies cedar and berries.
Flower girls were Anna Auld and Grace Auld of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Lale Ergen of Newark, Del. Ring bearer was Andrew Miller of Raleigh, N.C., nephew of the groom.
David Snouffer of Norfolk was best man. Groomsmen were Ronald Brockett of Norfolk; Daniel Weinberger of Newhaven, Conn.; Matthew Pollard of La Plata, Md.; Stefan Syski of Brookville, Md.; Michael Colon of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; and Jason McCray of Alexandria, Va., and Mitchell McCray of Hampton, Va., brothers of the bride. Guests were seated by James McCray of Franklin, Tenn., brother of the bride; Benjamin Miller of Knoxville, Tenn., nephew of the groom; Michael Weinburg of Los Angeles; and Adam Sparger of Washington.
A reception at The Country Club of Little Rock followed the ceremony. Guest tables alternated arrangements of tall vases of ivory French tulips and towering branches of white dendrobium orchids with low arrangements of roses, hydrangeas, peonies and gardenias. Mercury glass, candles and fresh cedar completed the centerpieces. Music was by the Bob Boyd Band.
The bride is a graduate of Thomas Edison State College, Trenton, N.J., and has a bachelor’s degree in English. She received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award and the Arnold Fletcher Award, and served as president of Regent Anglican Fellowship. She is a master of divinity student at Regent University School of Divinity in Virginia Beach, Va., and an ordained deacon in the Anglican Church.
The groom received a bachelor’s degree in government from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and a master’s degree in liberal studies from Georgetown University in Washington, where he was a member of Theta Alpha Kappa. He is a data supervisor at Ogletree Deakins in Raleigh.
The couple will make their home in Raleigh after a Caribbean cruise.
