Mary Elizabeth Renick became the bride of Timothy Robert Hauser at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, in Christ the King Catholic Church. Monsignor Lawrence Frederick officiated.

Sharon and John Renick, 9908 Coppersmit­h Lane, are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaugh­ter of the late Beverly and William Renick of St. Louis and the late Louise and Clarence Hernandez of Alexandria, La.

Parents of the groom are Cynthia and Robert Hauser of Depew, N.Y. His grandparen­ts are the late Gertrude and James Klinko of Amherst, N.Y., and the late Helen and Arthur Hauser of Depew.

The chancel was decorated with poinsettia­s and magnolias. Music was by violinist Magdalena C. Ryszkowski and pianist Kevin Forte.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an A-line gown with an overlay of lace. The lace bodice had an off-the-shoulder neckline and cap sleeves edged with scalloped eyelash lace. A grosgrain ribbon around the waistline was embellishe­d with Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of white roses and stephanoti­s.

Matron of honor was Christina Mirabello of Aldie, Va. Bridesmaid­s were Leonor Chiarella and Elizabeth Phillips, both of Washington; Elizabeth Cercone of Alexandria, Va.; and Lucia Bleif of Buenos Aires, Argentina. They wore navy peau de soie cocktail dresses and carried bouquets of white roses.

Flower girls were Clara and Evelyn Wrazen of Springboro, Ohio, and ring bearers were Weston and Ashton Herndon of Hot Springs.

Serving as best man was Michael Loughlin of Las Vegas. Groomsmen were William Hauser of Charlottes­ville, Va., brother of the groom; Bryan Banach of Rochester, N.Y.; Matthew Westpfal of Dansville, Pa.; and Gregory Renick of Ithaca, N.Y., brother of the bride.

A reception at the Capital Hotel followed the ceremony. Tables held arrangemen­ts of Australian pine, white hydrangeas, white roses and hypericum berries.

The bride graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from St. Louis University and magna cum laude with a master’s degree in Spanish from American University in Washington. She is a graduate education consultant.

The groom attended Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., where he graduated magna cum laude with All College Honors and a bachelor’s degree in biology. He received a medical degree from State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He is a pulmonary and critical care physician in the Air Force.

After a wedding trip to Italy, the couple will live in Kensington, Md.
