SEARCY — Simmons First Bank in Searcy has announced its pledge of $15,000 to the White County Medical Foundation for the Miracles Happen Every Day campaign. Funds from the campaign will be used to benefit the New Life Center at White County Medical Center.

With the $15,000 pledge, Simmons First Bank joins the White County Medical Foundation’s Cornerstone Partners program as a platinum member and will name a new patient suite in the New Life Center.

“Giving is the foundation of service, a mission that both Simmons First and White County Medical Center focus on each day,” said Brooks Davis, Simmons First Bank President/ CEO. “Being able to give to the New Life Center is a natural extension of this common goal.”

Funds given to the foundation will help purchase an advanced fetal monitoring system; state-of-the-art nursery equipment; a new triage area with four spaces for patients; an upgraded infant security system; the renovation of six patient rooms into labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum suites; and new flooring throughout the New Life Center.

“New life is cause for celebration, and we are grateful for the support from Simmons First Bank,” said Cassandra Feltrop, executive director of the White County Medical Foundation. “We are truly blessed to have the support of our community to be able to continue bringing quality patient care and advancements in health care to our patients.”

Renovations to patient suites will include more amenities to help patients and their families feel at home, including bigscreen televisions, more seating for families, a sofa that folds out for sleeping and showers in all suites, a custom built-in surface area with storage, and new rocking chairs.
