FAYETTEVILLE — Ann and Dr. Morriss Henry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family vacation. The couple were married Aug. 1, 1964. She is the former Ann Rainwater and a retired University of Arkansas professor. He is an ophthalmologist with Henry Eye Clinic. They are the parents of Paul Morriss Henry and Mark Murphey Henry, both of Fayetteville, and Dr. Katherine Henry Baltz of Little Rock. The couple have 11 grandchildren.
Joyce and William E. Carter of Sherwood have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Aug. 1, 1948. She is the former Joyce D. Brooks and is retired from Affiliated Ear Nose and Throat Clinic. He is retired from Schilling Lincoln Mercury. They are the parents of Richard E. Carter of Sherwood and Larry W. Carter of Roland. The couple have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Ruby and Ozell Starks of North Little Rock will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today at McAlmont Church of Christ. The couple were married Aug. 10, 1964. She is the former Ruby Mayweather. Both are retired. They are the parents of seven children and have 18 grandchildren.
BISMARCK — Elderie and G.V. “Mutt” Efird celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family weekend at Timber Lodge Ranch in Amity. The couple were married Aug. 7, 1949. She is the former Elderie Collie. He is retired from Reynolds Metals Co. in Gum Springs. They are the parents of Donna Martin, Carolyn Nivens and Ronnie Efird, all of Bismarck. The couple have seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
