WARREN — Marilyn and Rusty Rowell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently with a family gathering. The couple were married Aug. 14, 1954. She is the former Marilyn Lee and a retired teacher. He is a retired logging superintendent. They are the parents of Wilbern Rowell of White Hall, Beverly Crabb of Mountain Home, and Stewart Rowell and Melinda Anders, both of Warren. The couple have 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
John and Suzanne Best
Suzanne and John Best of Little Rock have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Aug. 22, 1954. She is the former Suzanne Janice Whitfield and a semi-retired real estate broker. He is retired from Best Welding Co. They are the parents of Gary Best of Seattle and Robert Best of Little Rock.
Charles and Patsy Smith
PERRYVILLE — Patsy and Charles Smith will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. today with an open house at their home. The couple were married Aug. 23, 1964. She is the former Patsy Rankin and a retired home economics teacher at Perryville High School. He retired as the school’s guidance counselor. They are the parents of Suzanne Woods of Hollis and Mark Smith of Perryville. The couple have two grandchildren.

and Truman Hill will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Aug. 28, 1964. She is the former Jan Hogan and a retired educator. He is retired from Firestone Tube Co. They are the parents of Dr. Alice Ann Calhoun of St. Michaels, Md., and Nancy Dyer of Little Rock. The couple have two grandchildren.

CROSSETT — Kay and Ben Johnson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. The couple were married Aug. 22, 1964. She is the former Kay Hardy and retired from the state Revenue Department. He is the former owner of Spikes Drug Store and a semi-retired pharmacist. They are the parents of David H. Johnson of Crossett and Mark H. Johnson of Little Rock. The couple have three grandchildren.

Jim Brazil will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Aug. 28, 1964. She is the former Jane Porter and retired from Pulaski Technical College. He is retired from Entergy Arkansas. They are the parents of Beverly Cole and Kimberly Tilley, both of Conway. The couple have five grandchildren.

BALD KNOB — Molly and Larry Kircher celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Saturday. The couple were married Aug. 22, 1964. She is the former Molly Helen Goforth. He is retired CEO of Citizens State Bank. They are the parents of Laura Hays of Benton and Jennifer Self of Little Rock. The couple have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is a forester with Domtar Paper Co. in Ashdown. They are the parents of William V. Slaton of Conway and Michael E. Slaton of Summerville, S.C. The couple have two grandchildren.
