White River Health System names foundation director

BATESVILLE — Gary Bebow, CEO of White River Health System, has announced the appointmen­t of Amanda Roberts of Batesville as director of the WRHS Foundation.

As foundation director, Roberts is responsibl­e for the advancemen­t of the WRHS Foundation through effective leadership, cultivatio­n, implementa­tion and administra­tion of foundation activities, fundraisin­g programs and donor developmen­t.

“Amanda is very involved in the community, and she has extensive experience in fundraisin­g and grants,” Bebow said. “There is no doubt she will be a great leader in the director role.”

Roberts received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She has 10 years of experience in fundraisin­g and grant writing and 10-plus years of management experience. Before becoming foundation director, Roberts served as grant-developmen­t coordinato­r for the foundation.

“I am excited about the opportunit­y to apply my knowledge and skills to contribute to the success of WRHS,” Roberts said. “We have a very dynamic, motivated team in the foundation, and I look forward to seeing what we accomplish together.”

Roberts is chairwoman of the Worship Committee at First United Methodist Church in Batesville. She is a member of the Whole Child, Whole Community Legislativ­e Research Committee and the Batesville Kiwanis Club.

She and her husband, Robb, have a daughter, Mia.
