No. 3 Seminoles dodge another bullet
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Quarterback Jameis Winston trotted onto the water-logged field at Doak Campbell Stadium with aspirations of a second consecutive national championship on the line. The third-ranked Seminoles were in a dogfight, once again, and needed their Heisman winner to make a play. He made several. Winston led Florida State (11-0, 8-0) 66 yards to put Roberto Aguayo in position for a 26-yard field goal with three seconds remaining and the Seminoles remained perfect with a 20-17 victory over Boston College on Saturday.
The Seminoles, who have now won a school-record 26 consecutive games, have already locked up a berth in the ACC championship game. Florida State hosts Florida in the regular-season finale.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC Memphis rips S. Florida
MEMPHIS — Paxton Lynch threw for 232 yards with 2 touchdowns and rushed for 2 more as Memphis defeated South Florida 31-20 on Saturday.
Lynch’s two rushing touchdowns and his 42-yard pass to Mose Frazier helped the Tigers move out to a 21-13 halftime lead. Lynch found Brandon Hayes for an 11-yard touchdown to extend the lead in the third quarter.
Hayes finished with 189 yards on 21 carriesfor Memphis (8-3, 6-1).
Marlon Mack rushed for 102 yards on 16 carries, including a 75-yard touchdown to open the second quarter that pulled the Bulls (4-7, 3-4) within four.
