Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of ivory silktulle. The bodice had a sweetheart neckline and was embellished with beaded Alencon lace appliques. The skirt’s scalloped hem and chapel-length train had a wide border of matching beaded lace. She carried a large teardrop bouquet of white hydrangeas, roses, Queen Anne’s lace, white snapdragons and miniature lilies in shades of blush and white.

Bridesmaids were Sheila Campolongo, Leticia Mendonca and Danielle Nagao Rabello, all of Sao Paulo; Anna Kendrick of Little Rock; and Laura Martin of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mary Susan Williams of Richardson, Texas, sisters of the groom. They wore sapphire-blue chiffon gowns in the style of their choice and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.

Following the wedding ceremony, guests enjoyed a dinner and dance, also at Afrikan House Village. Guest and banquet tables held tall silver and crystal candelabra with large arrangements of white Virginia roses, lilies, snap dragons and eucalyptus. Music was by SP3.
