46th Collectors Show preview draws Arts Center members
It was Members Only. That’s not a reference to the ’80s status-jacket brand, but to an event restricted to Arkansas Arts Center members — the 46th Collectors Show and Sale Member Preview and Reception, which took place Nov. 13 in the Alice Pratt Brown atrium of the Little Rock museum.
Attendees partook of hot ciders — one spiced with rum and red-hots; the other, whiskey — along with light hors d’oeuvres and other libations while taking an early peek at such works as Bill Vuksanovich’s Sisters I, Julia Randall’s Popped and Nathaniel Donnett’s The Great Flood.
The Collectors Show and Sale is an annual Arts Center tradition that brings a curated collection of fine drawings and other art pieces from prominent New York galleries. All works are for sale and vary in price, from $400 to $100,000. The show continues through Jan. 4. — Story and photos by
