RANKINGS OBU is No. 7 in the American Football Coaches Associatio­n NCAA Division II coaches poll; Minnesota-Duluth is No. 2 in the AFCA coaches poll.

COACHES OBU: Todd Knight (76-82 in 16 seasons at OBU, 104-114-2 in 22 seasons overall); Minnesota Duluth: Curt Wiese (23-2 in two seasons at Minnesota-Duluth, 32-13 in four seasons overall) SERIES First meeting.

LAST WEEK OBU received a first-round bye in the NCAA Division II playoffs. The Tigers defeated Henderson State 4120 in its regular-season finale Nov. 15. Minnesota-Duluth defeated Northwest Missouri State 25-21 in the first round of the playoffs.

COMMENTS OBU had a Great American Conference-best 18 members earn all-conference recognitio­n. Coach Todd Knight was named the GAC Coach of the Year. … The Bulldogs had a league-high 20 players named All-Northern Sun Intercolle­giate Conference. … Senior running back Steven Kehner of Glen Rose set a GAC single-season record with 16 rushing touchdowns. He’s scored in every game but two this season. … Senior safety Zack Mitchell of Vilonia, a first-team All-GAC selection, led the leagues with six intercepti­ons and finished 11th in NCAA Division II. … The Bulldogs are 11th in Division II in scoring offense, averaging 42.3 points a game. … OBU senior quarterbac­k Kiehl Frazier of West Fork had three 100-yard rushing games this year, one off the league record for 100-yard rushing games in a season by a quarterbac­k, set in 2011 by OBU’s Casey Cooper. … OBU had 7 return touchdowns in 2014 — 3 punt returns, 2 intercepti­on returns and 2 fumble returns — to lead the GAC. No other conference team had more than four return touchdowns this season. … This is the first game for Minnesota-Duluth against a GAC school. … The Bulldogs won NCAA Division II national championsh­ips in 2008 and 2010.
