Festival to follow Christmas parade

-

An addition this year to North Little Rock’s annual Christmas parade Dec. 7 will be a Northern Lights Festival on the parking lot of the City Services Building, 120 Main St., where the parade will end.

The area will have booths to allow children to have their photo taken with Santa Claus and do crafts. The festivities will also include lighting of the city’s new Christmas tree, entertainment by local choirs and a Toys for Tots donation drop-off.

The Christmas parade starts at 2 p.m. at Pershing Boulevard and Willow Street, then turns south onto Main Street and continues to the downtown historic Argenta District. The Northern Lights festivities will start after the parade finishes.

The parade and festivities are sponsored by city government, the North Little Rock Sertoma Club and the North Little Rock Visitors Bureau. For contact information, visit the Visitors Bureau website at NorthLittleRock.org.
