BAAC, Lyon College set for Main Street Art Walk

BATESVILLE — The Batesville Area Arts Council, in collaborat­ion with Lyon College Advanced Concepts art students, will present a Main Street Art Walk from 5-7 p.m. Saturday. The event, a self-guided viewing of artwork in downtown Batesville, is free and open to the public for all ages.

Five locations on Main Street will be open to display artwork, and artists will be present to answer questions: The BAAC Gallery on Main, 226 E. Main St.; Gallery 246, 246 E. Main St.; Landers Theater, 332 E. Main St.; 296 E. Main St., formerly Skinner’s Jewelry; and Big’s of Batesville, 101 E. Main St.

The Batesville Area Arts Council’s Gallery on Main will have live music by Danny Dozier, a book signing with Mark Rorie and a photo booth for attendees.

Each location will provide compliment­ary refreshmen­ts.
