UA fundraising campaign director named
A newly created position focused on setting priorities for the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville’s Campaign Arkansas fundraising endeavor will be filled by a veteran staff member, the university announced Thursday.
Kellie Knight will be UA’s senior director of campaign priorities as the university moves closer to the public kickoff for its next big fundraising effort, which remains in an “organizational phase,” according to the university announcement.
Knight began in her new role Jan. 20 and will earn $111,925 annually.
She joined UA in 2000 and has worked as a scholarship and endowment officer, assistant director of development for UA’s College of Engineering and, most recently, director of development for UA’s Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences.
“I had the good fortune of joining the development team during the organizational phase of the Campaign for the Twenty-First Century,” Knight said in a statement, referring to UA’s previous large-scale capital campaign, which raised $1.046 billion in gifts and pledges from 2001 through 2005, according to the university.
Knight added: “The private gift support we raised transformed the University of Arkansas to heights we enjoy today, and I look forward to the opportunity to help the development team further advance this great institution through Campaign Arkansas.”
