Police say 8 drugs found inside SUV
A North Little Rock man suspected of using a forged prescription was arrested Saturday and charged with possessing five different prescription drugs as well as marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine, police reported.
A pharmacy technician at Medicine Man Pharmacy, 2520 Main Street in North Little Rock, called police after Jason Michael Banks, 49, attempted to use a forged prescription, according to an arrest report.
Police found Banks asleep inside a Toyota 4Runner in the pharmacy’s parking lot about 3:15 p.m. According to the report, the SUV smelled of marijuana.
During a search, police found a pill bottle and bag in Banks’ pocket. Police said the bag contained smaller bags of what was suspected to be marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, methylphenidate and clonazepam. It also contained a bag with an “unidentifiable white powdery substance similar to baking powder,” which police said was “packaged to make it appear to be cocaine.”
The pill bottle contained hydromorphone, oxycodone and diazepam, according to the report.
Banks was booked into Pulaski County jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, possession of cocaine with purpose to deliver, possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, three counts of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with purpose to deliver and two counts of possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance with purpose to deliver.
His bail was set at $95,000. Banks was not listed on the jail’s roster late Sunday.
