Black History panel
Henderson State University history professor John Graves, Arkansas State University history professor Cherisse Jones-Branch, community leader Freeman McKindra Sr. and Rhonda Stewart of the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies will take part in a Black History Month panel discussion for the Butler Center and Clinton School of Public Service’s “Legacies and Lunch” program, noon Wednesday at the Central Arkansas Library System Ron Robinson Theatre, 100 River Market Ave., Little Rock.

Square dances
The Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View this week begins a series of weekly square dances, 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays through April 14.
The first hour will be an open community dance; the second will focus on Folk Center dancers practicing and rehearsing routines for the coming season. Admission is free. Harvey auditions
The Hot Springs Pocket Community Theatre will hold auditions for Harvey by Mary Chase, 5 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday at the theater, 170 Ravine St. (Ramble and Ravine streets, just off Park Avenue), Hot Springs. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script; there are parts for six men and six women. Production dates are April 10-12 and 17-19. Endangered list
The Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas is taking nominations for endangered places that reflect Arkansas’ heritage for its 2015 Most Endangered Places List of historically and architecturally significant properties throughout the state worthy of preservation.
Criteria include the degree of a property’s local, state or national significance, a property’s eligibility for the National or Arkansas Register of Historic Places and the imminence and degree of the threat to the property.
Nomination information and program guidelines can be found on the website, PreserveArkansas.org; submit nomination information, photographs and support materials via an online form or email.
