Hutchinson appoints Yates to Arkansas Real Estate Commission

LITTLE ROCK — Doyle Yates, executive vice president of Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney and Faucette in Fayettevil­le, has been appointed to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission by Gov. Asa Hutchinson.

Yates, who earned his real estate license in 1975 and his broker’s license in 1977, is the president of the Northwest Arkansas Board of Realtors. During the 40 years Yates has worked in the real estate industry, he has served on many local board committees and task forces, and he has been named the local board’s Realtor of the Year twice. The Realtor of the Year award recognizes those who have served not only the real estate profession, but also their communitie­s.

Yates has been a member of the Arkansas Realtors Associatio­n’s board of directors for 16 years and has served on many of the associatio­n’s committees, many times as chairman. He is now serving as chairman of the Arkansas Realtors Political Action Committee. Yates was named the ARA Realtor of the Year in 1999 and served the associatio­n as president in 2002. In 2014, Yates was the recipient of the L. Wayne Camp Award, which is given in recognitio­n of outstandin­g fundraisin­g efforts for Special Olympics Arkansas.

On a national level, Yates has served on the NAR’s board of directors for the past six years and is the National Associatio­n of Realtors’ federal political coordinato­r for United States Sen. John Boozman’s office. Yates holds a number of designatio­ns awarded by the NAR, including Certified Residentia­l Brokerage Manager, Certified Residentia­l Specialist and Graduate Realtor Institute.

As executive vice president of Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney and Faucette, Yates has helped lead the company for 22 years. During that time, the company has been recognized by Coldwell Banker as the most-improved office in the Southeast Region, as well as the No. 1 Coldwell Banker company in Arkansas for 22 years and the No. 1 Coldwell Banker office in Arkansas for 12 consecutiv­e years.

Yates and his wife, Dawn, who is also a Realtor, live in Northwest Arkansas.
