United Way of North Central Arkansas accepts applications for 2016 funding
BATESVILLE — The United Way of North Central Arkansas has started a new cycle of funding and initiative work for 2016. Nonprofit agencies working in the areas of education, financial stability and health are invited to submit applications for United Way funding for 2016.
To be considered for 2016 funding, applications must be completed and filed with the United Way office by March 31. Each applying organization must be a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization providing direct and meaningful service to the people of Stone, Independence, Izard, Sharp and/or northern Cleburne counties and must have been in existence for at least two years.
“This is the most exciting part of our work,” United Way Executive Director Allison Phelps said. “Putting the dollars we raised back into our community to provide much-needed services makes the fundraising we do yearround very rewarding.”
The United Way’s yearly campaign funds partner agencies and initiatives dedicated to improving the quality of life in their respective communities.
The United Way of North Central Arkansas is in the midst of its 2014-2015 campaign, which will end in June and still needs just under $60,000 to reach its goal of $315,000. The generous support of area residents for the United Way helps area communities all year long. United Way resources help children and youth succeed; strengthen and support families; promote self-sufficiency; and support vulnerable and aging populations.
For an application to receive funding or to donate to the United Way community fund, contact the United Way office at (870) 793-5991 or info@liveunitednca.org, or visit www.LiveUnitedNCA.org. Completed applications should be directed to Steve Ringwald, Agency Relations Committee chairman, P.O. Box 2639, Batesville, AR 72503.
