––––– ––––– HENSLEY — Roy Monroe Duncan of Hensley, Arkansas, was born May 13, 1939. He went into the arms of Jesus on March 15, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Gladys Duncan; infant son, David; infant daughter, Stefanie; and great-granddaugh­ter, Izzy.

Survivors are his wife, Ruby Duncan of Hensley; son, Jim (Jodi) of Jacksonvil­le; daughter, Pam of Little Rock; son, Darryl (Joyce) of California; son, Kevin of Utah; son, Roy Lee of Little Rock; six grandchild­ren, four great-grandchild­ren; four sisters, three brothers.

––––– ––––– HOT SPRINGS — Ellene Lowry Price, 87, of Hot Springs, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015. Ellene was born on June 4, 1927, in Paris, Tennessee, to Ellie Smith Lowry and Tracy Henry Lowry. At the age of eight, the family moved to Pine Bluff where she attended local schools, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1944.

Ellene began raising her family in Houston and San Antonio, Texas, for several years before returning to Pine Bluff in 1968. She began her employment with Arkansas Power & Light (Entergy Corporatio­n) and achieved the designatio­n of Certified Profession­al Secretary, retiring after 25 years. She enjoyed football, especially watching the Pine Bluff Zebras and the Arkansas Razorbacks. After retirement, she moved to Hot Springs and lived at Country Club Village and Brookfield Assisted Living. Ellene was a lifelong Methodist, attending both Carr Memorial Methodist Church and Lakeside United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff and First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William Robert “Blo” Lowry; and her son, James Michael Price. Survivors include her sister, Theresa Lowry, Hot Springs; her daughter, Marlene Price Yaney (Mike), Sherwood, Cynthia Price Purnell (Jeff), Hot Springs, Tracee Price Mills (Jeb), Fayettevil­le; daughter-in-law, Deborah Price, Dallas, Texas; grandchild­ren, Jennifer Yaney Shelton (Grayson), Bryan Mills, Christian Mills, Miles Purnell, Chase Purnell, and Blake Purnell.

As a devoted mother and grandmothe­r, her love and commitment to her family was unwavering. She happily and unselfishl­y put others needs before her own. She lived her beliefs and values and always encouraged her children to do the right thing… a mother’s greatest gift to her children.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Sons, Pine Bluff, Wednesday March 18, 2015, at 10 a.m. with Bro. David Wilson officiatin­g. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be private.

––––– ––––– MALVERN — Martha Wilma Taylor Huckelby, 90, of Malvern passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Stagecoach Nursing and Rehabilita­tion in Bryant. She was born September 24, 1924 to the late Evans and Gladys Ennis Taylor.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Howard Huckelby; sisters, Dorothy Hobbs and Pauline Guyse and a granddaugh­ter, Angela Dawn Castleberr­y. Martha was a homemaker for most of her adult life, but also worked in an assembly line making bombs during WWII. She was a member of Cooper Assembly of God and taught a Sunday school.

Survivors are daughters, Jannis Huckelby and Patsy Mays (Joe); brother, Evans Taylor Jr. of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; grandchild­ren, Richard Wayne Huckelby (Terri), Timothy Mays (Jan), Tammy Castleberr­y and Russell Mays (Karen); great-grandchild­ren, Lainey Mays, Grayson Mays, Devin Toney, Ashlee Mays, Summer McClain, Raegan Mays and Bailey Brazil and her beloved pug Mickey.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Ohms officiatin­g.
