Benton hospital sets expansion in Bryant

Benton-based Saline Memorial Hospital — a fullservice, 177-bed nonprofit community hospital that has served Saline County and the surrounding areas for more than 58 years — is scheduled to break ground today on a new Bryant medical campus.

The new Saline Memorial Medical Center and adjoining Central Arkansas Women’s Group will be located around a 5-acre lake near Market Place Avenue and Arkansas 5, just north of Ashley Furniture Home Store and Wal-Mart.

The three-phase project is a consolidation of Central Arkansas Women’s Group and the Bryant Medical Clinic with the addition of an outpatient surgery center. Construction is expected to take nine to 12 months.

Saline Memorial provides inpatient and outpatient assistance, including cardiology, women’s services and pediatrics.
