use water cannons to disperse activists of the opposition Congress party’s youth wing after they jumped police barricades during a protest against the government’s land-acquisition bill Monday in New Delhi. The bill currently in Parliament proposes to ease rules for acquiring land to facilitate infrastructure projects.
