-

TRAVELERS 1, MISSIONS 0

The Arkansas Travelers scored on an unearned run in the seventh inning, and that was enough in a 1- 0 victory over the San Antonio Missions on Tuesday night at Wolff Stadium in San Antonio.

The game was scoreless going into the top of the seventh inning. Brian Hernandez grounded out and Wade Hinkle popped out to start the inning. D’Arby Myers struck out swinging, which would have been the third out, but Missions catcher Griff Erickson was charged with a passed ball and Myers went to first base to continue the inning for the Travs.

Dennis O’Grady came on in relief of Bryan Rodriguez after Myers reached base. Myers stole second and scored on Anthony Bemboom’s single to center field to make it 1- 0.

Arkansas’ bullpen made the run stand up to give starter Nate Smith his fifth victory of the season.

Chris O’Grady and Danny Reynolds didn’t allow a hit in three innings of relief. O’Grady pitched the seventh and eighth innings, while Reynolds took the ninth and earned his third save.

Smith ( 5- 4) scattered 7 hits in 6 innings while striking out 6 and walking 4 on 111 pitches.
