Major RICHARD W. CHINSKE, USA Retired, age 93, of Little Rock, passed away on September 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Dorothy Chinske. He is survived by his son, Richard L. Chinske; daughters, Barbara Chance and Marguerite Rasums; four grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, and a host of other family, friends and loved ones. Richard was a World War II veteran; he was a rare breed: an officer and a gentleman. He served his country honorably for 43 years. A Graveside Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Pinecrest Memorial Park, in Alexander, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society. ––––– ––––– CLARENCE LENDON HARRIS, known to most as “BC”, 56, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2015 with his family by his side. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on the USS Independen­ce. He is retired from Pulaski County Road and Bridges after 30 years.

Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, Joel Nathan Harris and Dorothy Grundy; brothers, Joel Ray Harris and Robert Grundy. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Janet Harris; loving and caring father, Thomas Grundy SR., brothers, Thomas Grundy Jr., David Harris and Keith Harris; three sisters, Susan Ward, Diane Warner and Amanda Harris Cogburn and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends who will miss him dearly.

––––– ––––– CAMILLA MARIE MILES, affectiona­tely known to many as “Grammy,” 94, of Little Rock went to be with her Savior on September 23, 2015. Born in Rover, Arkansas on September 26, 1920 to Robert Timothy “Tete” Castleberr­y and Virgie Bell Carter Castleberr­y, Camilla graduated from Plainview High School in 1938 and Capitol City Business College thereafter. Upon graduation, she moved with her family to southern California where she met her husband, Reverend Claude H. Miles. Together, they lived in Upland, California; Phoenix, Arizona; and Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Rover, Arkansas.

Along with her primary role as a pastor’s wife, she was a wonderful mother and grandmothe­r. While we always knew Jesus was first in her life, not one day did any of us ever feel second. She loved each of us uniquely, fully, and completely. Camilla was dearly loved by her family, daughter Patty Burge and her husband James Burge of Little Rock, granddaugh­ter Lisa Oden and her husband Jerry Oden of Little Rock, two great-grandsons, Timothy Oden and Mason Oden, a niece, JoAnn Callaway and nephew, Bob Castleberr­y both of Pasco, Washington, as well as numerous other family members and friends. Camilla was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, her parents, and her brother, Charles Garner Castleberr­y.

A celebratio­n of her life and birthday will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Roller Chenal Funeral Home at 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. (501-224-8300). Visitation with the family will begin at 2:30 p.m. immediatel­y preceding the service. A private burial will be at a later date at Hunt’s Chapel Cemetery in Rover, Arkansas.

She has been a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church on Colonel Glenn Road since 1969.
