JIMMY NEAL HARPER died on Sept. 29, 2015. He was born in Knox City, Texas, on Sept. 20, 1935, to Jack and Addie Mae Harper, he was one of four siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlotte; granddaugh­ter, Laura (Dustin) McElyea; son-inlaw, Robert Thurman. Their two children, Randy Harper and Angie Thurman, preceded him in death.

Jimmy served overseas in the Army and had a Ph.D. in Sociology and was retired from the North Little Rock School District.

–––––❖––––– CLARIA MAE MASSEY, 68, of Jacksonvil­le died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015. She was born July 24, 1947, in Hensley to the late Clyde and Leola Beard West. Mrs. Massey retired from Maybelline and also traveled the world with her husband, George, as he served in the United States Air Force.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Dorothy, Gloria and Sue. Mrs. Massey is survived by her husband of 43 years, George E. Massey Jr.; their children: Sean Massey and Pamela Peters (Jason); grandchild­ren: Alex Conley, Ashley Conley and Michael Conley; sisters: Ellen Jeans (Elton), Pauline Beard (Joseph) and Janice Skinner (Robert).

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Moore’s Jacksonvil­le Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by: parents, Howard & Julie Wesley; son, William Wesley Jr.; daughter, Jamie Willis; stepson, Willie Williams; siblings, Jimmy Wesley, Jinnie Johnson, Ola Wesley, Bernie Wesley.
