Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott vs. A&M’s secondary. Prescott has thrown 191 straight passes without an interception, a school record and the longest current streak in the nation. He hasn’t thrown an interception in 17 quarters and has 1,069 yards passing with seven touchdowns this season. The Aggies have three interceptions and are allowing just 187.8 yards passing a game.
Players to watch
Mississippi State: LB Richie Brown. Leads the Bulldogs with 39 tackles, which ranks fourth in the SEC. Brown has at least 10 tackles in three of the first four games, including 13 tackles and two sacks, both career-highs, last week against Auburn.
Texas A&M: WR/PR/KR Christian Kirk. The freshman had a career-high 173 yards receiving last week for his third 100-yard receiving game, which tied a school record. He leads SEC freshmen in touchdowns (5), yards receiving a game (110.5), punt return yards (149), kickoff return yards (209) and all-purpose yards (201.2).
