Not qualified for run

Donald Trump, a self-absorbed man who has run an empire all his own for years, is now running for president of the United States. From running a multimillion-dollar corporation to a television show based purely on his “witty” mouth and his effectiveness at making people feel bad about themselves, there is no doubt that this blond-haired beaut makes for good entertainment and news, but will he make a good candidate for president?

Every time Trump shows his face to the media, they don’t have to go hunting for a story or headline. All the man has to do is open his mouth and he has offended someone/some group. There is a constant stream of disrespectful comments coming out of his mouth at all times. Women, Mexican Americans, people below the poverty line, and people fighting for the chance (and right) to become an American citizen are bashed by this man and his cynicism.

Trump seemingly has no respect for anyone who thinks differently than he does. How can someone expect to be an effective leader of the free world if he can’t even effectively communicate with humans, or give them the respect they deserve?

I believe Donald Trump, a man who most are surprised hasn’t been whacked by the Mexican Mafia, will run this country into nothing but turmoil. Equality? Forget it. Stronger economy? For the wealthy, absolutely. Land of the Free and Opportunity? Don’t vote Donald Trump 2016! KAITLYN McLALLEN Benton
