Free Baby-Safety Class CONWAY — The Conway Regional Health System and the state Department of Health will host Getting Ready for Baby, a free baby-safety class, at 10 a.m. in the Conway Regional Women’s Center. The class is designed to teach expectant mothers and new moms with babies 6 months old or younger how to keep their babies safe in vehicles or at home. Attendees will receive home-safety items and a chance in a drawing for a car safety seat. To register for the class, call (501) 513-5721. The class is sponsored by the Great Start Lactation Club, which meets at 10 a.m. the fourth Saturday of each month in the Women’s Center.

Bass Fishing Tournament HEBER SPRINGS — The Greers Ferry Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Bass Fishing Tournament at 7 a.m. both days at Devil’s Fork Tournament Center. Weigh-in will be at 3 p.m. each day. The first-place overall pay is $1,000, and first place each day pays $1,000. Big Bass will pay $500 each day, and there is a 100 percent payback, one place for every five boats entered. The team entry fee is $150. United Way Haunted House CLINTON — The 2015 United Way Haunted House will be held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, as well as Oct. 30 and 31 at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds. 3-D Printing Demonstration CONWAY — Donovan Mays of the Arkansas State Library will give a demonstration of 3-D printing at 2 p.m. at the Faulkner County Library. Food for Fines Program
MORRILTON — The Conway County Library, 101 W. Church St., is holding its Food for Fines Program through Saturday. Library patrons can pay their late fees and help out their community by bringing in nonperishable food items. For every item donated, the library will take $1 off a patron’s library fines, up to $10. A Starry, Starry Night at the Library

Clanton, a retired teacher of sciences from the Conway School District, will present a series of star-gazing events with various topics from 7-8 p.m. during the autumn months at the Faulkner County Library. Chamber Orchestra Musical Meditation
CONWAY — The Hendrix College Chamber Orchestra will present a Musical Meditation for All Souls Day at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 in Greene Chapel on the campus in Conway. The orchestra will be conducted by Karen Griebling and the Rev. J. J. Whitney, interim Hendrix chaplain. The program will include “Elegie,” by Gabriel Faure, with faculty cellist Aaron Ludwig; selections from Orfeo, by Christoph Willibald von Gluck, with guest artist Daniel Foltz-Morrison; and other selections.
