BRITTANY NIXON TREY BRUN
The Cathedral of St. Andrew was the setting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, for the marriage of Brittany Nixon and Trey Brun. Monsignor Lawrence Frederick officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Margaret and Donald P. Nixon Jr. of Little Rock. Her grandparents are Beverley Swaim of Maumelle, the late John D. Swaim of Fayetteville and the late E. Marie and Donald Nixon of Little Rock.
The groom is the son of Debi and Bill Brun II of Little Rock. His grandparents are the late Lowell Fullerton and the late Lee Anne Fullerton Morgan, both of Clinton, and the late Alice and Billy Brun of Little Rock.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory A-line gown of satin with an overlay of embellished lace on tulle. Her cathedral-length veil was ivory Alencon lace embellished with glass beads, sequins and bugle beads. She carried a mix of hydrangeas, dahlias, garden roses and ranunculus.
Lauren Messina of Mount Pleasant, S.C., served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenny Dunaway, Breezy Osborne-Wingfield and Erinn Brun, sister of the groom, all of Little Rock. They wore strapless black chiffon gowns with sweetheart necklines and asymmetrical ruched bodices. They carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.
Flower girls were Madeline Wallace and Riley Wingfield, both of Little Rock.
Bill Riddle of Farmington was best man. Groomsmen were D. Pierce Nixon III of Washington, brother of the bride, and Patrick Murphy and Aaron Keller, both of Little Rock.
A reception in the grand lobby and ballroom of the Lafayette building followed the ceremony. Tables were covered in ivory linens and centered with arrangements of blossoming cherry branches in gold vases. Music was by G Force.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She owns Brittany Nixon Creative.
The groom is a corporate responsibility officer at Entergy Arkansas’ White Bluff power generation units.
The couple will live in Little Rock after a honeymoon in Europe.
