Ex-Old Blind Dog Malcolm to perform at LR Folk Club
Jim Malcolm returns to the Little Rock Folk Club for a performance on guitar, harmonica and vocals at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, in Thomson Hall at Unitarian Universalist Church. Admission is $15, $8 for students with IDs and free for children ages 12 and under.
Malcolm, who for eight years was the lead singer of the Scottish band Old Blind Dogs, now pursues a solo career and has released 10 albums under his own name. To mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of his fellow Scotsman Robert Burns, Malcolm — who is also known for his wit — released a DVD, Bard Hair Day.

Lord T & Eloise will return to central Arkansas for a show at 9:30 p.m. Friday at the Rev Room. The Memphis duo, who have performed numerous times in central Arkansas, combine their “aristocratic” and “crunk” influences into a different form of rap music. Admission is $12.

Smith, also known as Earl Dibbles Jr., is a Dallas native who has released seven studio albums.

Fronted by Dorthia Cottrell, Windhand recently released the “doom metal” band’s third album, Grief’s Infernal Flower.

Formed in 1982, Diamond Rio scored five No. 1 hits during its heyday: “Meet in the Middle” in 1991, “How Your Love Makes Me Feel” in 1997, “One More Day” in 2001, “Beautiful Mess” in 2002 and “I Believe” in 2003. The band has made nine albums; the latest, I Made It, was released earlier this year.
