LR work to shut Broadway lanes

-

A three-block section of Broadway south from the Broadway Bridge in Little Rock will be reduced to one lane in each direction for three days beginning Friday, the city said in a news release.

Broadway, between West Third Street and the bridge, will be reduced to one northbound lane and one southbound lane beginning at 9 a.m. Friday to accommodate removal of a large tower crane that has been used to renovate the Robinson Center.

Two-way traffic will be suspended for short intervals on Saturday while equipment is removed from an area over the roadway, according to the news release. The work is expected to be completed by 6 p.m. Sunday.

Barricades and warning signs will be installed on both approaches to the bridge to inform motorists of the lane reduction, the city said.
