Little Rock Central was held to 11 points in the first half of Tuesday’s 7A/6AEast Conference game with Jonesboro, but the unbeaten Lady Tigers rallied for a 4745 road victory.

Four nights after posting an 83-13 victory over Searcy, Central did not take a lead in Tuesday’s game until there was 1:41 left. Jonesboro led 26-11 at the half and despite giving up 13 consecutive points to start the second half, held a 35-26 advantage to start the final quarter.

Central scored 20 of the first 27 points of the fourth quarter.

Jonesboro (10-7, 0-2) pulled within 46-45 with 4.5 seconds left on a threepointer by senior guard Khia Perry. The Lady Hurricane then forced a five-second violation to regain control of the ball.

Alaysia Ready, who led Central (14-0, 2-0) with 17 points, chased down a loose ball and hit a free throw to set the final score.

Senior guard Starr Taylor led Jonesboro with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
