1 PETER There was more to Peter Pan than those childhood tales, and the story is told in Peter and the Starcatche­r. This playful adventure has already begun previews at Arkansas Repertory Theatre, with the final preview at 7 p.m. today. 3 PERSONAL The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra takes its act on the road with “Something NEW,” 7 p.m. today at St. James United Methodist Church, 321 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock. This is the opening concert for the 2015-16 Intimate Neighborho­od Concert Series in smaller venues and will include music from Riley, Fine and Mendelssoh­n. 4 PREMIERE Arkansas’ Tav Falco, musician, artist, author and filmmaker, will attend the U.S. premiere of his film Urania Descending, 7 p.m. today at Ron Robinson Theater, 100 River Market Ave., Little Rock. Falco will hold a post-screening audience discussion after the 68-minute film, “a black-and-white film poem” about “an American girl on a one-way ticket to merry/sinister old Vienna who becomes embroiled in an intrigue to uncover buried Nazi plunder.” Admission is free. 10 PAINTINGS Samuel F.B. Morse, best known as the developer of the telegraph and Morse code, started out as a painter and 38 of his favorite masterwork­s from the three years he studied in Paris are part of “Samuel F.B. Morse’s Gallery of the Louvre and the Art of Invention,” on display Saturday-April 18 at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 600 Museum Way, Bentonvill­e. The exhibition also includes Morse’s Overview of Francis I, a study related to Gallery of the Louvre, and works on loan from the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, including Thomas Cole’s View of Mt. Etna.
