Golden Gloves set for Friday

The 77th annual Arkansas Golden Gloves State Championship Tournament will be held Friday and Saturday at the North Little Rock Community Center.

Boxers will represent 20 Arkansas cities with the champions advancing to the Mid-South Golden Gloves Tournament in North Little Rock on April 7-9 against champions from Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas.

Bouts will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for students. For more information, call the Community Center at 501-791-8541.
