Soup Sunday: A Ladle of Love

BENTON — St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church Women invite everyone to a homemade soup luncheon at the church, 1112 Alcoa Road. From noon to 1:30 p.m., eat-in meals and takeout will be available. Takeout only will be sold from 9:45-11 a.m., with soup for $8 per quart and desserts for $1 each. The eat-in bottomless bowl, which also includes cornbread, a drink and dessert, costs $10 per person or $35 for families of four or more. All proceeds will be distributed to local charities, including Habitat for Humanity of Saline County, Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice, Safe Haven and Cjcohn.
