SOUND ADVICE HEARING DOCTORS

Local audiologist helps patients hear again

-

The ability to hear is a precious gift, but for those who have lost their hearing, life can get complicated. Luckily, Dr. Kevin Tripp of Sound Advice Hearing, which has locations in Searcy and Cabot, works hard to bring the gift of sound back to his patients. Tripp opened his Cabot office in June 2011. For nearly five years, he has allowed individuals to “Try Before You Buy.” At Sound Advice, patients can try hearing aids for 30 days, absolutely free, to see for themselves whether the device selected is the right option.

“The treatment that I provide decreases the consequences of hearing loss in my patients’ lives,” Tripp said. “We restore relationships and remove communication barriers.”

The clinic offers hearing testing, hearing-aid fittings, maintenance and repair of hearing aids, batteries and supplies, and many other services. Several times per year, Tripp hosts a “lunch and learn” event that individuals with hearing loss can attend to learn about their diagnosis and treatment options. Tripp is the only audiologist in Lonoke County. He is a graduate of Harding University in Searcy and received his doctorate from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He is the clinical director for Sound Advice Hearing doctors in both Cabot and Searcy and serves as an adjunct professor for Harding University’s department of communication sciences and disorders.

Tripp said he enjoys witnessing the impact that his work has on the lives of his patients.
