Family company offers sturdy products, pleasant service

For 11 years, Mill Direct Flooring Outlet in Batesville has met all kinds of flooring needs and provided agreeable service that encourages customers to return.

“We have quality products, and we have quality service, and I believe that having both of those things together is very important,” salesman and warehouse manager Zack Ferguson said.

The business stocks thousands of feet of carpet, tile, laminate flooring, wood products and more. Mill Direct Flooring offers both name-brand products and inexpensive B-grade materials. It works with customers who own rental homes to supply them with products that are both sturdy and affordable. In addition to sheet vinyl, the store now carries plank vinyl, a durable, cost-effective new technology that resembles real wood. Recently, the business acquired a variety of area rugs in styles ranging from fun to refined. The store also offers maple-veneer cabinets.

“Experienced sales staff, installers and free estimates make us a great choice for your remodels, rentals or new construction,” Ferguson said.

The friendly, knowledgeable staff helps the business bolster its clientele. “Return customers will come back specifically for the salesperson that they’re familiar with,” he said. “A big part of our success is creating relationships with customers.”

Family ownership keeps the store accountable, he added. “If somebody’s not happy and it’s our fault, we have to make it right,” he said, adding that the company provides better service than a big-box store. “What I sell here reflects my family, so I’m more apt to care,” he said.

Mill Direct Flooring Outlet is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
