Local business celebrates 20-year anniversary

-

Pete Pallone, the owner of Pallone Financial Services in Heber Springs, has known for the majority of his life that he would be in the financial-services business. Now his company has reached its 20-year anniversary and looks to continue its success through a historic past.

“I’m a fourth-generation securities broker, and at least in Arkansas, there are probably not a handful of people that can say that,” he said. “My great-grandfather started T.J. Raney & Sons in 1931 in Little Rock, and my grandfather ran that firm for 33 years. So from the time I was born, this is all that I thought I’d ever do.”

Pallone entered the securities business in 1994 and opened his own company in February 1996. Pallone Financial Services is an independent broker of insurance and investment products.

The company offers comprehensive financial planning, retirement planning, estate planning, life insurance and health insurance. He said it’s been tough, but it is rewarding to know that the business has continued to be stable this long.

“This is a very difficult business,” he said. “The past 20 years, there have been a few really good years for the market, but it has historically not been great. It is extra difficult to be a successful planning firm in a town of [about] 7,500 people and a county of about 22,000 people, so I am very proud of the fact that we’ve been able to be successful in a very rural area in Arkansas.”

He added that his employees and the business as a whole put in the effort needed to keep a business like this thriving in a market that occasionally has its difficulties.

“We’re not afraid of hard work,” he said. “A lot of guys in my business in larger metropolitan areas don’t have to put in the hours that I do to keep the wheels turning.”

With more than 20 years of experience in the financial-services industry, Pallone Financial Services offers its clients assurance that their finances are in good hands and that the advice given will be trustworthy and backed by great knowledge.
