Angry and disgusted

-

The biggest riddle of the day, expressed by the media and numerous hand-wringers is: Why in the world would anyone, not only the millions, ever vote for Donald Trump?

On a recent TV morning show, the elite Tom Brokaw told us the reason so many are angry on the Republican side is they are quite disgusted that our Republican congressmen and women are refusing to get along with Barack Obama and help move this country ahead. How far off track can one erudite travel?

In my opinion, so many Americans, call them rednecks if you want, have so had it up to there with political correctness they could scream. They are disgusted to be required to attend sensitivity training, to be told their children should not be keeping score in athletic events and, after all, everyone should receive a trophy at season’s end.

They are furiously frowned on and must apologize if they make such forbidden statements as “All lives matter,” and of course, don’t ever mention you are a Christian and you let that affect your life.

The airwaves are full of those wringing their hands that this country will never survive if Trump is elected president. The memory for so many of us goes back only days. If we can survive eight years under a president who I believe has turned this country away from all the principles that have made this nation great, surviving Trump would be a breeze.

A final word on political correctness. It isn’t just a matter of adhering to silly little rules, it’s a matter of destroying our basic laws. Currently it seems it is a worse sin to be accused of being racist than a murderer.
