Phillip Schroeder and Margaret Jones
WHO THEY ARE
Phillip Schroeder, coordinator of music theory and composition at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, plays piano and electronics and composes music. He has recorded a number of albums, including Move in the Changing Light and Passage
Through a Dream (both on Innova). His compositions also appear on recordings on the Cold Blue, Albany and Vienna Masters labels, among others. His String Quartet No. 1 won the prestigious New Music for Young Ensembles award in 1983.
Margaret Jones is a violinist who appears regularly with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and teaches privately. She is a founding member of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and has worked on Broadway in The Lion King and on tours with singers Natalie Cole and Andy Williams and dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov.
