KEMPNER, Texas — Services for Betty Patricia Snipes Garnett of Kempner will be Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1502 Virginia Avenue, Copperas Cove, Texas, with a viewing at 5 p.m. in the Relief Society room and funeral services to follow in the chapel at 6 p.m. She died of a severe asthma attack in the early a.m. hours Saturday, October 22, 2016, at her home in Lampasas County, Texas, at the age of 60. She was born November 25, 1955, in Lima, Ohio. She joined the United States Army Women Corps after graduating high school, and later retired from the United States Army. She graduated from the University of Hawaii West Ouahu and worked many years for the U.S. Government.

Beloved wife of William Charles Garnett and loving mother of two sons: William Charles Garnett II and Charles Lyndal Garnett (deceased). She was the Loving daughter of Don Quixote Snipes and Hetty Leona Powell. Dear sister of Donna Jean (Snipes) Jones (deceased). She is survived by half-brother Mr. Billy Ray Henry, presently of Arkansas, brother-inlaw Gary Dale Jones, niece Heather Dawn (Jones) Miller, great nephew Jacob Gary Matthew Miller, great nieces Donna Jean Marie Miller, and Tassidy Dawn Leoni Miller, aunt, Mrs. Billie Dean Powell Fleming Branum of Granbury, Texas, and several cousins.
